I’m New to JPC

WELCOME

JourneyPointe Church was launched in June 2007 as a combination of two smaller church plants already ministering in the area. Through this “marriage” of churches, we were able to combine resources, ministry leadership and facilities to create what we hope is a more effective way of reaching and impacting the Luella/Locust Grove area.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

Our desire is to create a place where the music and teaching is relevant, the atmosphere is casual, and the preschool and kids areas are done with excellence. In general, we want to be a group of people helping you “for where you are”.  The name “JourneyPointe” helps us to remember that we are all on this journey together. More specifically, we are all at different “points” on our journey. Some people feel very close and connected with God, others feel distant and detached. Our desire is to meet you wherever you are on that journey and to help you and your family get connected to God and other believers.

WHAT ABOUT MY CHILDREN?

BLAST, the children’s program at JourneyPointe, is designed uniquely for ages birth through fifth grade. While in BLAST your child will experience engaging age-appropriate teaching, music and activities all developed to point your child toward a daily relationship with Christ. BLAST is staffed by dedicated volunteers who will be there week after week to care for and love on your child. BLAST utilizes a check-in system that ensures a safe environment for your child and also allows for efficient drop-off and pick-up for parents. All of the BLAST staff are dedicated to fulfilling our mission, which is: “to show Jesus’ love to all the children who come in our path and help them become followers of Him!”

ANYTHING FOR STUDENTS?

The youth ministry of JourneyPointe has multiple opportunities for students in sixth grade through twelfth grade to get involved and is dedicated to connecting the heart of your student to the heart of God. FUSION is a weekly gathering of students and includes teaching that is relevant and applicable to a student’s life, and hands-on interaction with the youth pastor and volunteers. Students are encouraged to participate in small groups where they will build relationships with their peers, develop accountability and grow together in their relationship with Christ. During the weekend, we encourage students to take part in the worship service with their parents.
